1. Activities requiring prior approval or consent from our branch office or other authorities must first obtain the necessary permissions before proceeding.
2. The navigational obstruction notice should include details such as the description of the activity, work location, an impact area diagram, start and end times, safety measures, contractor information, and an emergency contact person with phone number. If coordinates are provided, they must be specified using the WGS-84 or GRS-67 coordinate system, or clearly state the coordinate system used.
3. In cases of emergencies where it is not possible to provide a three-day advance notice, the notification should be faxed to the relevant units for immediate processing based on their responsibilities. These units include the Port Affairs Administration Section at (07) 561-7108, the Monitoring Center at (07) 532-5623, the Duty Office of the Monitoring Center at (07) 551-3953, the Vessel Traffic Control Center at (07) 571-7427, the Port Services Center at (07) 571-1291, the Civil Engineering Repair Section at (07) 561-2824, the Administration Section of the Kaohsiung Port Police Department at (07) 533-6683, and the Kaohsiung Harbor Pilots Office at (07) 521-4615.
4. Any damages resulting from failure to notify or late submission (less than three days prior) will be the responsibility of the construction or organizing entity.
5. For activities or projects outside the commercial port area, please contact the Navigation Safety Division, Maritime and Port Bureau, MOTC at (02) 8978-2900 for the issuance of maritime notices.
