The Anping Port Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) system is equipped with medium to long-range radar, AIS system, marine meteorological systems, audio-visual recording systems, optical-electro systems, and database functionalities. This system continuously detects and tracks various vessels within a 20-nautical-mile radius of the port area. The collected information is transmitted back to the control tower, where it is processed and analyzed, enabling controllers to monitor vessel movements inside and outside the port in real-time. This allows them to provide navigational guidance and warning messages to vessels at sea, preventing maritime accidents. The system replaces the manual operation of the former signal station and accelerates vessel entry and exit procedures, improving port operational efficiency and effectively reducing the occurrence of vessel collisions and preventing marine pollution.
