1938 - The old port of Anping Port is completed and can accommodate 80-ton ships.

1979 - The new port was completed. The main channel has a water depth of minus 7.5 meters and can handle 6,000-ton ships. It has been approved as a Domestic Commercial Port.

1993 - The Executive Yuan approves the "Anping Port Master Plan".

1997 - In May, the Ministry of Transportation announced that Anping Port will be an auxiliary port of Kaohsiung Port, and Anping Port will be upgraded from a domestic commercial port to an International Port.

2014 - In August, the Free Trade Zone was officially approved for operation.

2016 - In February, the first Free Trade Zone operator applied for an operating license.

2021 - In October, Anping Port Container Freight Station（CFS） was put into operation.
